Last October, we had a great time photographing Emily and Chris's art deco inspired wedding at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster, Indiana. I loved working with them at their Marquette Beach engagement session and couldn't wait to see them again!
Emily looked drop dead gorgeous. Her wedding dress fit her like a glove and don't even get me started on those Badgley Mischkas! Chris and Emily saw each other before their ceremony to have a moment to reflect with each other before walking down the aisle. Emily's bridesmaids wore long and elegant purple chiffon dresses. The men wore charcoal grey suits that complimented the look perfectly. After taking photos outside in the cold fall weather, the wedding party went back inside to warm up before the ceremony. Guests were seated in the main ballroom of the Center for Visual and Performing Arts. Emily and Chris were centered under a beautiful wedding arbor decorated with flowers and white lights. Friends and family clapped and cheered as the couple were announced husband and wife and then headed to the art gallery for cocktails. Guests were able to mingle and enjoy the art on display for the evening. Meanwhile, the ballroom was being transformed into Emily and Chris's beautiful reception. The wedding color palate included deep purples, soft neutrals, blushes, pops of red, and greenery. Tables were adorned with floral arrangements in mercury vases, candles, and gold linens. The cake was my absolute favorite part of the decor. It was Art Deco inspired and fit in perfectly with the style of the ballroom. Plus, it had a cake topper featuring a bride and groom giving each other a high five, which represented the couple perfectly. It was a beautiful wedding from start to finish. Thank you again to Emily and Chris for letting us capture your day!
