Ibby and Evan's proposal story began with a strategically placed sparkly ring on top of a sweet cupcake. Of course, she said yes! Now, the engaged couple are getting ready to tie the knot and celebrate at the beautiful Morton Arboretum next July. It was only fitting that they incorporated a few sweet cupcakes into their Chicago engagement session. Speaking of all things that are sweet, Ibby and Evan brought along their adorable Beagle, Lily, to Lincoln Park at the start of our shoot. She was excited to explore the grounds and was such a cutie in the photos. It was fun to capture this little family together. After fun in the sun at Lincoln Park Zoo, we moved onward to a favorite industrial setting of mine to continue the session. Set near the Chicago River and under the Metra Tracks, their dressy looks popped against the city textures for this Chicago engagement session. And funny story - Evan totally used to play in the DuPage Symphony Orchestra with me, but we never actually met until this shoot. Talk about a small world! These two were so wonderful to work with; they even sent me home with my own cupcakes (which I ate immediately and called it dinner). Thank you both so much for everything! I am excited to photograph your Morton Arboretum wedding.
