Happy Friday everyone! Welcome to this new segment entitled "Favorite Friday". Every Friday, I'll be blogging about one of my favorite locations to take engagement and wedding portraits. First up, is the beautiful Morton Arboretum. I simply love this place. Besides just taking pictures here, I spend a lot of personal time at this Lisle arboretum as well. I ran a 10k here back in the spring, and will be running another race in the fall. I even decided to become a Morton Arboretum member this year, so yes, I really do like the place. ;)
When it comes to your engagement or wedding portraits, the Morton Arboretum has so much beauty to offer. I love suggesting it to my clients who love the outdoors and are looking for picturesque gardens and landscapes for their portraits. I've been there a few times this year with my team, and the results are always stunning. Here's a mini tour.
When you first walk into the main entrance by the Visitor's Center, you'll immediately be surrounded by the beautiful hedge garden and maze. This is one of my favorite gardens because it just oozes with romance.
In the spring, there's a patch of flowering trees. Catch them at the right time, and the results are simply magical.
The best part about the Morton Arboretum is the abundance of trees and forested areas. It's a big place, and there's just about every type of tree you could imagine. I'm personally a big fan of the pine trees.
Here are a few links to some recent favorite Morton Arboretum weddings and engagement sessions!
I would LOVE to schedule some fall engagement sessions at the Morton Arboretum this September and October. If you think this might be the perfect setting for you, get in touch! I would love to hear from you and start planning your session.
PS: I'll be spending my day off at the Morton Arboretum TODAY. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see even more pretty.
Thanks, everyone! Happy Friday!
