Despite a weather forecast that predicted nothing but rain, the sun shined down on Lisa and Brandon's Quad Cities wedding day. Lisa, Brandon and their wedding party gathered at the historic Quarters One mansion located on the Rock Island Arsenal base to get ready for the day's festivities. The setting fit perfectly with their vintage themed wedding.

Lisa and Brandon met each other outside on the mansion's front porch to have a moment together before the ceremony. Lisa's gold sequined dress reminded me of old Hollywood glamour. Her gold sparkly shoes added even more bling to the ensemble. And did I mention she sewed her own veil together only hours before the ceremony? Talk about DIY!

Lisa made quite the entrance to the ceremony. Arriving in style, she pulled up in one of her father's vintage cars. She made her way to Brandon, who was waiting for her under a big old oak tree. Friends and family gathered around to watch the happy couple exchange vows and to officially become husband and wife. Guests tossed gold confetti on the couple at the end of the ceremony.

Before leaving to the Abbey Station, the wedding party members hopped inside the many vintage cars and all the guests followed the bride and groom in a processional to the reception. Lisa and her friends and family pulled together the reception decor. Lisa even frosted her own cake the morning of the wedding day. It doesn't get much more DIY than that. Guests enjoyed a cigar table where they could roll their own freshly made cigars. Gold linens, flowers and blush accents were every where to be found.
