Chicago Engagement PhotographyBeth + Matt
For this summer Chicago engagement session, I had the opportunity to photograph Beth and Matt at two of my favorite settings: Kinzie Street Bridge and Montrose Harbor. Before I was doing wedding photography full time, I used to work in River North. My daily walks crossing the river at Kinzie Street Bridge and looking out at beautiful Chicago was always a favorite part of my day. (Well that, and smelling all of the chocolate in the air from Blommer's. HEAVEN.) I always love returning to this spot, and it's a great setting for engagement and wedding photos.
Matt and Beth will be getting married later this year in heavenly Maui for a destination beach wedding. It was important to the couple to incorporate their wedding style into their engagement photos, which I am all about! We ended up at Montrose Harbor, which is by far my favorite Chicago beach. The quiet beach setting, stretch of small sand dunes, beach grass, and bird sanctuary always inspire me for photographs. Beth chose to wear a bright and vibrant red dress that really popped against the pastel colors of the beach. It also happened to be the same dress she was wearing when Matt proposed to her. How sweet is that?!
I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking. Thanks again to Beth and Matt for a great shoot!
