Lisa + Matt’s Wedding Day

What a special wedding! This New England beauty is easily a favorite of the year. Emmalee and I traveled to Boston, MA for Lisa and Matt’s countryside wedding celebration. It was my first time to the Boston area and I have to say I loved it. I can’t wait to come back to eat more lobster and crab, finish walking the Freedom Trail, and devour more Mike’s Cannolis. Yum!

We met Lisa, Matt and their families the day before the celebration at the rehearsal. While we don’t photograph rehearsals often, I think it’s a great idea! We were able to take a lot of the big family photos the day before, so that on the wedding day, we could focus on more of the moments. Lisa and Matt’s wedding day began at the Howarth House Bed & Breakfast where the ladies spent the morning getting ready together. This house was adorable and filled to the brim with charm. Guests gathered outside on the terrace before the nuptials began. Lisa and Matt were married outside underneath a handmade wooden arch decorated with lush floral. There was not a dry eye in the house! Happy tears could be found in every direction through the ceremony.

After saying “I Do”, the celebration began. We headed to the reception site, which was hosted by Matt’s family. This countryside property has been in Matt’s family for over 100 years. Filled with sentimental value, it was also the site of Matt’s parent’s wedding. We love outdoor weddings, so a glammed out tented reception was a dream to photograph! We loved every little detail Lisa and Matt put into their wedding. My absolute favorite was the wooden bar that Matt handmade for the occasion. After dinner, the dancing was endless. These guys knew how to party and we had so much fun being a part of all the action. Thank you to Lisa, Matt and their families for including us in this amazing day. I hope you enjoy these photos!
