Rock Island Engagement Photos: Haley + Dan

During the last weekend of October, I ventured to the Quad Cities for several awesome portrait shoots, including this sunrise Rock Island engagement. When I pulled into the parking lot at Black Hawk Forest Preserve that Sunday morning, my car thermometer read 24 degrees. Let me say that again: 24 DEGREES! The below freezing digits didn't phase Haley or Dan during this shoot. I swear, they don't look like they were cold in a single photograph. They NAILED it. Luckily, as the sunshine grew, the temperatures warmed up (granted, only to the 40 somethings, but every degree helped!). Always with a smile on their faces, these two love birds helped each other stay warm throughout the session. As we hiked throughout Black Hawk, there were beautiful trees and fall colors at every turn. I could have spent all day there - it was beyond gorgeous. This is my first time using this location for a Rock Island engagement shoot, and I totally fell in love. Haley and Dan's outfits were rich in autumn hues, and honestly, they looked like they were straight out of a J Crew catalog. Thank you two for being amazing and looking great in the cold! Here's to hoping for warmer weather for your Quad City wedding in July 2014. ;)
